Who these terms apply to
These payment terms apply to purchases by businesses and individual consumers from Cambridgeshire Straw Pellets Limited. Read them together with our Terms and Conditions, which include our company details, contract formation, delivery arrangements and consumer cancellation form.
A consumer buys mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Nothing in these payment terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

Payment methods and deadlines
Bank transfer: available to all buyers and required for first orders. Full payment is due within 3 business days of receiving the confirmed Proforma Invoice and before dispatch. Business days mean Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales. The invoice will state the due date.
Cash on Delivery (COD): available only to returning registered buyers whose COD arrangement we confirm in writing before accepting that order. A previous order does not automatically guarantee COD approval. The confirmation will state the amount, currency and collection arrangements.
For an approved COD order, full payment is due at delivery. The 3-business-day bank-transfer deadline does not apply to that order. Please do not send payment until the complete order price, including delivery and applicable taxes, has been agreed.
03
Payment confirmation and dispatch
Use your invoice or order reference when paying. After a bank transfer, send the payment confirmation to our accounts team so we can identify it.
A payment slip is not confirmation of cleared funds. Bank-transfer orders are dispatched only after the full agreed amount has cleared in our account. Approved COD orders are dispatched under their separately confirmed payment-on-delivery arrangement.
If bank details appear to have changed unexpectedly, contact us through our published contact details before paying.
04
Please pay on time
Please pay the full amount by the due date confirmed for your order. If you expect a delay or dispute an invoice, contact us promptly with your order reference so we can discuss it.
Unpaid bank-transfer orders will not be dispatched. Further orders or deliveries may be put on hold while an overdue balance is resolved, subject to your contractual and statutory rights.
We do not impose a flat 5% late-payment fee under these terms.
05
Currency and bank charges
Payments are accepted in GBP, EUR or USD, as agreed and stated on your invoice. Any other currency must be agreed in writing before your order is accepted.
Pay the full invoice amount in the invoice currency. We do not apply an unspecified exchange-rate adjustment after the price is agreed. If a different currency is requested, the revised amount must be agreed before payment.
Your bank may charge conversion, transfer or intermediary-bank fees. Arrange your payment so that these do not reduce the agreed invoice amount received by us; ask your bank about its charges before sending funds. This does not permit us to add an undisclosed payment surcharge.
06
Cancellation, returns and refunds
Before dispatch: you may cancel your order for a full refund. Contact us with your order reference.
Consumer distance orders: for an eligible online or telephone purchase, you may cancel without giving a reason up to 14 days after the day you receive the goods. Notify us before that deadline; you do not need our permission to exercise this right. The full procedure, refund timing and model cancellation form are in our Terms and Conditions.
Free return shipping: contact us to arrange a prepaid return or collection, including pallet orders. Free shipping does not create an unlimited right to return goods; eligibility follows your statutory rights and the agreed order terms. Business change-of-mind returns after dispatch require agreement.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods: contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order reference and details of the problem. Photos are helpful where available but are not a condition of consumer legal rights. Remedies may include a refund, replacement or repair as applicable; consumer remedies are not restricted to a partial refund or made dependent on our discretion.

Contact, disputes and updates
For invoice queries, payment confirmations or complaints, contact info[@]cambridgeshirestrawpellets[dot]com. Include your order reference and the outcome you are seeking. We will investigate and respond.
The governing-law and dispute provisions in our Terms and Conditions apply. They preserve mandatory consumer protections and applicable rights to use local courts.
Updated on 22 October 2026. These terms apply to new orders accepted under this version. Later website updates do not change an existing order without your agreement. Keep the terms supplied with your order confirmation.
